HOW TO BURN RESIN INCENSE

You will need:
- The resin (use as is or ground to a powder)
- Charcoal Discs
- A plate, bowl or incense burner. (Optional: Sand to place in dish to absorb heat from charcoal)
- Lighter to ignite the charcoal

1.  Get a bowl or cauldron and fill it with ash, sand or salt to absorb the heat of the charcoal. You can use a vessel specifically made for burning resin, or any dish that will not burn or break. Place the charcoal in your burner and light. Apply the fire for several seconds and you will start to see it spark and light across its surface.

2. Wait a minute or two for the charcoal to warm up (it will start glowing or getting gray around the edges) and then add a small amount of your resin or powder to the top. You don’t need a lot.

3. The oils in the resin will start to warm and emit a fragrant smoke.

4. Create a ceremony out of lighting your resin. Chant or speak mantras that are meaningful for you. Ask the universe or your higher power to help with your intentions.
